EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 2, 2025:

The Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock announced the state’s Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program has been restructured under emergency rules and will now operate as Veteran Heroes United in Business (VetHUB), a program focused exclusively on small businesses owned and operated by veterans with a 20 percent or higher service-connected disability. All businesses previously HUB certified based on race, ethnicity or sex have been revoked unless they proved ownership and control by service-disabled veterans. HUB certifications will resume processing under the VetHUB program and will now only approve service-disability veteran of 20% or more with required documentation such as the DD-214 Military Discharge and Disability Rating Letter issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs or Department of Defense along with the other required documentation based on business structure. Important: A vendor’s certification record inside the online system may reflect active; however, the official and most up-to-date listing of HUB certified vendors is located within the HUB Directory, which will show the most accurate status. Access the HUB Directory by clicking https://mycpa.cpa.state.tx.us/tpasscmblsearch/ and selecting the “HUBs Only” option. The HUBs on CMBL search will represent those certified vendors who have elected to sign up for the Centralized Master Bidder List as well. Inactive HUB vendors will not have a HUB status reflecting “Active” on their profiles.
